Slovak Radio ORCHESTRA

SOSR was founded in 1929 as the first professional musical formation which was made for the needs of the Slovak Radio.

From 1943-1946 an acclaimed Croatian conductor, Kre?emir Baranovic led the orchestra and was a great contribution to its artistic development. Following conductors such Ludovít Rajter, Ladislav Slovák, Václav Jirácek, Otakar Trhlík, Bystrík Re?ucha and Ondrej Lenárd made the orchestra an international acclaimed ansámble. Róbert Stankovský was a follower of Ondrej Lenárdt, his very succesful work was interrupted by his sudden death.

Guest conductors have been playing an important role in the further development of this orchestra. We can mention Andrew Mogrelia, Tomá? Koutník, Niels Muus, Kirk Trevor, Stanislav Macura and others.

The Slovak Philarmonic Chamber CHOIR

This ensemble is a prominent representative among professional choirs. For 50 years the choir has aquired a reputation of exceptional quality, and acclaimed as one of the best choirs in Europe.

The choir has co-operated with widely known conductors ? Claudio Abado, Riccardo Chaily, Zdenek Ko?ler, Ondrej Lenárt, Zubin Mehta, Libor Pe?ek, Ludovít Rajter, Karl Richter, Pinchas Steinberg, Hans Swarowsky, Václav Talich, Christoph von Dohnányi as well as with many orchestras from abroad ? the Vienna Philharmonic, London Philharmonic Orchestra, Israeli Philharmonic, Orchestre de Paris and many others.

The Bratislava Boy´s CHOIR

The Bratislava Boy's Choir was founded in 1982 as part of a private artistic school The choir has performed in many oratories and cantatas (Bach, Britten, Honegger, Orff,Suchon, Stravinský, etc.) led by world reknowned conductors such as Lenard, Slovák, Dohnányi, Pe?ek, Rahbari, Parrot, Hopkins, Muti). They have worked together with acclaimed soloists such as Peter Dvorský, Jozef Kundlák, Peter Mikulá?. The choir have been regularly rewarded prizes at musical festivals. The choir is led by its founder Mgr. Art. Magdaléna Rovnáková, ArtD.

New Streams Children's CHOIR Oratorio Terezin

The New Streams Children's Choir of Canada was formed specifically for the World Premiere of Oratorio Terezin in Toronto, 2003. Twenty choristers from this 53 voice choir will travel to Europe under the direction of Erica Phare. The children are from age 11 -17 years. The New Streams Children's Choir will perform together with the Bratislava Boy's Choir.
